Brisbane’s Wedding Hotspot: The Calile Hotel

After roughly two years post opening, the Calile Hotel, located on James Street Fortitude Valley in Brisbane has been the centre of attention when it comes to the ultimate night out and watering hole for Brisbaneites. The creamy hues and gold trims provide the quintessential essence of what it is to combine the old and the new. This new hot spot is a revolution in the Brisbane hotel, dining and bar industry, but that is not all the architectural favourite is well known for. The building’s raw beauty and city views have attracted an overwhelming number of Wedding’s in the past two years since opening. Exposed concrete, sunken lounge areas and modern takes on 70’s aesthetics have become the picturesque backdrop to the newlyweds.

The urban resort was designed by architect group Richards & Spence, who have noted that the Calile Hotel is their most widely appreciated built work so far. The 175-room hotel displays touches of brutal and humorous charm, undoubtedly adding a vibrant and busy hub to Brisbane’s inner city.

There is much to be discovered at the Calile Hotel, from the Lobby bar to the pool terrace to the hotel rooms that are a deep breath of calming fresh air. Not to mention the popular restaurants; Samesame, Bianca, Hellenika , SK Steak & Oyster and more. Amongst all this, it is without a doubt the weddings that truly do the Calile Hotel justice, as the sweeping city views of Brisbane and subtle beauty in architecture that lend themselves aesthetically so well to Brisbane’s Bride and Groom.
